Jeff – Master Plumber & President

Owner Jeff Vlisides has been in the backflow industry since 1989 and is now a nationally recognized expert in the backflow industry. He is President of the Michigan Chapter of the American Backflow Prevention Association (MBPA) and Director of ABPA National Region 11. Jeff is a Master Plumber and ASSE5110 as well as ASSE5130 certified. In addition to overseeing problem-solving and design work, he owns and instructs at Michigan Backflow Institute.

When Jeff isn’t busy keeping our water safe to drink, he enjoys camping, golfing, and shooting.

Margie – Vice President

Margie is the Vice President at Backflow Prevention Services and is crucial to the oversight of daily operations. She has a BBA in Management and is well-versed in business ownership and operations. Margie handles accounting and financials and provides support to all employees. Protecting our water is important to Margie, and she is proud to be a part of a company that is so well-equipped to do just that. Margie enjoys backpacking and traveling when she isn’t busy in the office.

Rich – Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager, Rich gives his personal attention to each customer from start to finish. Whether by phone or in person, he schedules services and is the go-to point of contact customers have come to rely on. Rich loves knowing his role plays a part in keeping our drinking water safe. Rich is also an avid woodworker and sports enthusiast. Having grown up in New York and later moving to the Detroit area, he’s stayed true to his NY teams while also adopting Detroit sports. Known for his sense of humor, Rich is always the funniest guy in the room!

Matthew – Master Plumber

Matthew is a Master Plumber bringing over 25 years of plumbing experience to the Backflow Prevention Services team. Matthew has experience with all types of backflow prevention assemblies and handles testing, diagnostics and repairs for customers. Matthew loves being in a position to educate customers about why cross-connection control is crucial and help them understand why testing is key to keeping water safe. When Matthew isn’t busy out in the field, he enjoys reading.

Keely – Backflow Prevention Tester

Keely came to Backflow Prevention Services after seeing the growing need for skilled trades workers. In addition to being a certified backflow prevention inspector, Keely also brings over five years of experience in the plumbing industry. One of Keely’s favorite parts of working at Backflow Prevention Services is knowing everything they do contributes to maintaining clean drinking water. You can find her biking, gardening, or snowboarding when she isn’t busy helping customers with their annual backflow testing.

Lori – Administrative Assistant

Lori is one of Backflow Prevention Service’s Administrative Assistants. She came to the company after retiring from her career as a medical lab technician. The attention to detail required in her role there translates well to her work in the office at Backflow Prevention Services, where she helps with customer support and office maintenance. She loves that she plays a role in helping residents keep their drinking water safe! Lori enjoys crafts, culinary arts, and gardening outside of the office, but her greatest treasure is time with her family.

Jeanne – Administrative Assistant

As one of the administrative assistants at Backflow Prevention Services, Jeanne’s role is particularly valuable in ensuring test reports are complete and accurate. She reviews each report and submits it to the appropriate water purveyor. When Jeanne isn’t helping BPS and customers with their backflow preventer test reports, she enjoys spending time with her new grandson.
